CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Yoga Fundamentals is a traditional hatha yoga class especially designed for those new to yoga. In this 60-minute class you will learn the basics of mindful breathing, moving with the breath, essential yoga postures and proper alignment, how to transitions between poses, as well as systematic relaxation, and meditation. Space will always be allowed for inquiry and modifications, and a judgment-free atmosphere is always encouraged! Class will always end with a guided relaxation (savasana) and time-allowing, a short guided meditation.
All-Levels Slow Flow classes are designed for all levels but with those new to yoga especially in mind. This traditional hatha yoga class will put focus on learning proper alignment, holding poses, learning to transition from pose to pose, and practicing basic movements and stretches in tandem with your breath.
All-Levels Yoga is a traditional hatha yoga class for all levels from beginner to experienced, with an emphasis on the breath, ease of movement, strength and softness, and alignment. Modifications and individual guidance will always be provided! Class will be balanced between invigorating/strengthening poses and restorative postures, and will always end with a guided relaxation (savasana) and time-allowing, a short guided meditation.
Yoga in Focus workshops are one-off, 75-minute classes designed to to help you learn more in depth about essential yoga skills. Appropriate for all levels, these classes will put special emphasis on practicing yoga poses, stretches, or breathing techniques for various aspects of your practice such as backbends, meditation, inversions, pranayama (breathing techniques), and more. Topics vary from season to season, with the intention of bringing balancing, supportive practices into your life and enriching your yoga practice. Typically scheduled on Saturday mornings, these classes also includes extra time built in for tea, questions/discussion, and time to connect with your classmates.
